Contributions to special volume of Journal of Structural Geology

We have been encouraged to submit a proposal for a Special Issue of the Journal of Structural Geology in Dave's honor. If you would like to include a submission of your scientific work in this volume, please let Rick Groshong at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it know by Jan. 14, 2013, and send him the title or topic of your proposed manuscript submission along with a short abstract or brief description by March 3, 2013. Contributions to the David V. Wiltschko Structural Geology Field Scholarship

Our goal is to establish a Structural Geology Scholarship in Dave's honor, to be awarded annually on a competitive basis to a graduate student studying structural geology in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at Texas A&M University. This scholarship, up to $1,000, will be used to pay for field expenses incurred by the student as part of the thesis or dissertation research. We seek tax-deductible contributions, from Dave's former students, friends, and colleagues to establish an endowment of $20,000.

Please contact Mr. Jack Falks (979.862.4944 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) for further details, or send your contribution to

Designate: David Wiltschko Scholarship

Please let us know if you'd like to be identified as a contributor to this scholarship or whether you'd like to remain anonymous. If your employer provides matching funds to your charitable contributions, please let us know, as this will help us achieve this goal.

Pass the word

We have attempted to contact as many former students, colleagues, and friends of Dave Wiltschko as possible. However, we may well have missed someone. Please help us pass the word.
