Join in the Merriment with Colleagues at AGU interested in

Physical Properties of Earth Materials

Please join us for our annual Physical Properties of Earth Materials (PPEM) dinner on Monday evening, Dec. 10 of the 2007 Fall AGU meeting to celebrate the 60th birthdays of Brian Bonner and Bill Durham. We would like to use this gathering to toast and roast two of our great colleagues. We hope that many of you will arrive with a toast to propose or a story to share about Brian and/or Bill. This year's venue The Empress of China on Grant Ave is located in the Chinatown section of San Francisco. Your PPEM Dinner Research Team promises you a unique evening of culinary delight with great views of San Francisco, in a restaurant known as a San Francisco Classic. The 8 course menu will feature Peking Duck and a selection of seafood, meat, poultry and vegetarian dishes. We intend to consult with cantonese speaking PPEM members to optimize the experience!

$56 people/$40 students; includes dinner, tip, and tax.

TRANSPORTATION HINTS:        

Empress of China is a 10-15 minute walk from the Moscone center - right in Chinatown - or an easy taxi ride.
The restaurant entrance leads to an elevator that takes you to the upstairs restaurant.
