The student chapter will be awarding the L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate grant in the coming weeks.  The student chapter is grateful to Mr. Weeks for his generous endowment gift to be used specifically to assist with educational expenses of undergraduate geoscience students.  The $500 grant for the 2002-2003 school year will be announced no later than November 15, 2002.  To be considered, you must be a student chapter member.  Please check back in the coming weeks for application materials.  Congratulations go to Colleen Lanan, the 2001-2002 award winner.
