 Geochemistry

  • ICP-Mass Spectrometry and Biostratigraphy
  1. Radiometrically dating sediments through Uranium and Thorium concentrations in an ICP-Mass Spectrometer.
  2. Picking and crushing planktonic foraminifera to calculate δ18O concentrations and for use in radiocarbon dating.
  3. Using Analyseries and Microsoft Excel to date cores with sequence stratigraphy.
  4. Scanning cores with XRF machine at IODP.
  5. Taking high-resolution photography at IODP.
