Research Interests

I am interested in sequence stratigraphy, sedimentary processes, and petroleum geology. My current research is to studying sorting, distribution, and abundance of heavy minerals in windblown dust deposits and structureless sandstone (A division in the Bouma sequence) in sedimentary rocks by using the X-ray fluorescence microscopy. Answering these questions will be important for analyzing sediment transportation, deposition, and mechanisms which can lead to reservoir characteristic and stratigraphy correlation.
