MS, Petroleum Engineering, Texas A&M University, 1986 BS, Petroleum Engineering, Texas A&M University, 1984 BioDr. Thomas A. Blasingame joined the faculty in 1991. Two years later, he was notified that his proposal to the Department of Energy for research in reservoir characterization had been accepted, providing $1.6 million in funding-one of the largest research grants in the department's recent history. Hired to capitalize on his expertise in applied reservoir engineering, Dr. Blasingame has established a productive and well-funded research program which has netted approximately $500,000 in the past five years. Areas of Specialization
ProjectsDr. Blasingame is involved in continuing studies on methods for the evaluation and prediction of gas reservoir performance, field-scale programs in reservoir description and reservoir management, development and application of methods of analysis and interpretation of well tests and production data, and theoretical/computational studies of multiphase flow in porous media.
