Research Interests

I am interested in microbes and their effects on geochemical processes in the early earth and present day. Also in the utilization of microorganisms to clean up oil spillage.

Research Project

I am measuring kinetic parameters describing manganese and cerium oxidation under oxic conditions. I hope to gain a better understanding on the mechanism of cerium oxidation which can then be applied to interpreting cerium anomalies in relation to paleoenvironments.
