Current Ph.D. Research

For my PhD project, I am using XRF data to establish the regional sequence stratigraphy of the Eagle Ford Shale. I use XRF data to generate chemical logs which allows better interpretation of lithology, sequence stratigraphy, and refine interpretation of gamma ray logs by comparing them with other geochemical signals. I am also studying how mineralogy and elemental concentrations are related.
