Bio

I am currently pursuing a Masters in the Department of Geology & Geophysics at Texas A&M University. My current research project works with using trace metals and isotopes at reconstructing paleoclimate and changing ocean circulation through sedimentation rates and sediment focusing.

Research/Research Interests

Research Interest:

1) reconstructing past climate in hopes of understanding changes going on today and project into the future

Other Interests:

1)Mineral/Ore deposition, mechanics and refining processes 2)Carbon burial and formation of petroleum reservoirs

Project

My current project I am working on uses trace metals and isotopes from the Uranium-Thorium decay series.  They are used as a proxy to reconstruct paleoclimate and ocean circulation through sedimentation rates and sediment focusing factors.  Knowing past sedimentation rates provides crucial information in being able to reconstruct ocean circulation and garner information about past climatic environments.
