Using carbonate pore type classifications to predict reservoir quality and distribution patterns

Basin Architecture (628) Field Trip: Arbuckle Mountains, OK; observed and described Paleozoic rocks to interpret tectonic setting

Field Camp: West Texas, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado; constructed geologic maps and cross sections for subsurface interpretation

Mineralogy (203) Field Trip: Mount Ida, AR; visited quartz mine and observed various road cuts

Intern Experience

McClure Oil Company, Midland, TX

January 2009- Current

• Collect data, annotate and correlate logs used to develop cross sections, isopach and structure maps
• Combine research and interpretive skills to assist in prospect development
• Utilize Petra software to create enhanced maps and cross sections that communicate ideas and opportunities for development
