Research Interests

Broadly speaking, I am interested in stable isotope geochemistry with applications to environmental geochemistry, and, specifically, metals fate, bioavailability, and using isotopic ratios as environmental tracers. My research involves the investigation of  207/206Pb and 208/206Pb isotope ratios as tracers of anthropogenic and geogenic lead in soils of Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. I seek to identify the distribution of anthropogenic versus geogenic 207/206Pb and 208/206Pb isotope end-members and to decipher the distribution and behavior of the anthropogenic lead component in soils.
