Teaching geology 101 lab; introducing basic geology concepts to freshmen level college students. Developing short lectures, exams, and quizzes for geology lab.

 

Geographic Information System Technician: Summer 2012

City of Kingsville, Engineering Department

GIS field data capture using Trimble Juno SB GPS equipment and other means; Map and database creation and manipulation using ArcInfo, ArcPad, Auto CAD, and other software; Provide mapping support for municipal and non-governmental entities.

 

 

Teaching Assistant 2010-2012

Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Kingsville, Texas                          

Taught Mineralogy lab to junior and senior level students focusing on morphological crystallography and symmetry concepts, methods of identification of minerals by their physical and chemical properties, and origin of economic minerals and ore deposits. Taught physical geology and earth science labs introducing basic geology concepts to freshmen level college students. Wrote physical geology laboratory manual, The GeoLogic Method, under the direction of Dr. Thomas McGeehee and Herman Jackson.
