Research

My research focuses on understanding the seismic history and its effects on subsidiary faults of the San Andreas fault system. Specifically, I am looking for chemical signatures of seismic events as a means of determining a fault's seismic history and potential, as well as its mechanical properties. This work is part of the San Andreas Fault Observatory at Depth (SAFOD) project. More information on the project can be found here. I am also interested in regional-scale tectonics as well as structural geology in petroleum systems.

Experience

Chevron Energy Technology Company, Chevron U.S.A. Inc. - Geoscience Intern; May 2013 - August 2013

Shell Global Solutions, Inc., Projects & Technology - Geoscience Intern; May 2012 - August 2012

• Worked with the Shell GeoSigns Subsurface Software group to evaluate the efficacy of the current structural               interpretation tools and workflows
• Learned and evaluated the current workflows for fault interpretation and structural static modeling
• Developed a plan for increasing the efficiency of the workflows and the usefulness of the structural tools
• Developed new tool designs to guide users to produce geologically accurate models
