The core courses are part of your degree program and count towards the MSc or PhD degree in your subdiscipline. Many of these courses have pre-requisites so check the current Graduate Catalog.
- Reflection Seismic Theory and Interpretation (GEOP 622)
- Sequence Strat/Basins (GEOL 622)
- 3D Structure* (modified GEOL 612)
- A course in Rock Properties (e.g., GEOL 624, 665, or 668)
- One GEOL/GEOP 681 (seminar) per year on a Petroleum Geosciences related topic. Eligible offerings are announced to Certificate participants.
In addition, students are required to take one additional course related to Petroleum Geosciences. The Departments of Geology & Geophysics and Petroleum Engineering offer a wide range of supporting courses.
