The Department of Geology and Geophysics is dedicated to the scientific study of all aspects of the solid Earth, from fundamental processes that shape it to knowledge that benefits society. Our graduates make significant contributions in environmental geology, energy solutions and understanding seismic hazards, as well as contributing fundamental new knowledge about the physical, chemical and biological aspects of the Earth. Future Texas A&M University geologists and geophysicists are essential to our economy, our environment and our changing world.
