| The objective of the Texas Hill Country Virtual Field Trip is to educate visitors to the website about the geology of the hill country in Texas. A key part of this objective is that we wanted to create a website that people could visit that would, in effect, show visitors what the hill country would be like if they visited it themselves. |
This website was constructed by Jennifer Dahms and Amanda Calhoun under the supervision and instruction of Dr. Bruce Herbert, associate professor in the Geology and Geophysics Department at Texas A&M University. Jennifer Dahms completed her studies in the Earth Sciences field and is currently looking for a teaching job at the junior high school level. Amanda Calhoun is a Life/Earth Science major and is also seeking an Outdoor Leadership Certification from Texas A&M. She will graduate in December of 1997. We completed this project for credit in the course entitled "Internet in Earth Science Education," taught by Dr. Herbert.
