Structural geology and geomechanics; field, theoretical and experimental studies of fault and fault-network formation in sedimentary rocks; mechanics of fault segmentation and linkage; fluid-flow characteristics of faults and dynamics of faulted reservoirs and aquifers; mode I fracture formation.
I have been very busy with the Industrial Associates Program (IAP) and teaching. The focus of the IAP i s Fluid-Flow Properties of Faults and Field-Scale Studies of Faulted Reservoirs. The IAP provides industry support for both graduate training and fundamental and applied research important to the petroleum industry.
